VENDORS
In addition to great live shows, Dead Ends Live will be hosting Shakedown Street, a festival marketplace inside the Chateau Lacombe Hotel lobby. Visitors can attend book, poster and album signings and shop for cool merchandise from our Shakedown vendors.
Shakedown Street goes back to the early 80s as the vending area of a jam band parking lot wherever concerts would take place and is named after the 1978 Grateful Dead album and song. Items sold have included music, clothing, jewellery, artwork, books, food, drink, alcoholic beverages and more. We’re very pleased to be able to honour that tradition with great offerings in our indoor marketplace.
Shakedown Street hours :
4 pm to 10 pm on Friday
Noon to 10 pm on Saturday
Parking is available at the Chateau Lacombe and in other downtown lots and parkades.
SHAKEDOWN STREET 2024 vendor applications will be available in mid-May.

Prairie Arts Collective is Threadwares by Lisi Sommer, Leah Wilson Fibre Art by Leah Wilson and Bee and Bean Creations by Michelle Dentinger. Together they offer natural handcrafted stone jewellery encased in hypoallergenic fine needlework, felted soft wool “hold in your hand” sculptures that give cozy good vibes, and colourful handmade stained glass creations that brighten any space. The three friends share a love of music, art, and creative expression and are excited to share their creations with you.

Margot Soltice lives in the Pigeon and Battle Lakes area. She works as a full time artist in watercolour, old-school dip pen and ink, and ceramics. Her work highlights her passion for Nature’s small mysteries and patterns. You’ll find her Nature inspired watercolour and pen work in prints, coasters and T shirts, as well as her various collections of artistic pottery.

Dale Ladouceur is a musician, writer, journalist and leatherworker. She creates original leather and vegan leather works of every kind. Her work has sold internationally and her Canadian Wildlife series was featured at the Art Gallery of Alberta.

Lyn works in various crafts/mediums, including handmade & upcycled blowsticks (for firekeeping not murder), beaded lightcatchers/mobiles, mandala wood tile pendants, collage, graphic design, and more. She’s a non-profit administrator of unconventional arts, affordable housing/tenant legal advocacy and women’s Charter rights, and is trustee of an underground library/archive and political art collection.
